Discarded as if no longer useful or desirable, Lefty and Righty were unceremoniously thrown into a wastebasket in preparation for a return home from the holiday island of Gran Canaria. They had become very close, and had always been side by side to each other, and Lefty and Righty had carried a huge weight on their shoulders… uppers… lowers… soles… and had always been in-step. [Kind of, depending on the amount of drink consumed] Their proud owner and wearer Mr P, loved them dearly and was heartbroken at their demise. And the marks his fingernails made in the genuine imitation plastic flooring can be seen to this day, as he was dragged screaming and kicking from the room by Mrs D.
Mrs D though had other ideas, she had seen enough of Lefty and Righty, and was tired of seeing these poor old soles dragging and scuffing, one foot in front of each other over such a long, long, long period. Mrs D wanted Mr P to be shod in something befitting a young trendy man-about-town. Although Mr P could see himself in a pair of Christian Louboutin he still felt dejected, hurt and heartbroken, and his sobs could be heard long after he and Mrs D’s coach had left for the airport.
Lefty and Righty had other ideas though. Although they initially felt discarded and certainly not on their uppers, they decided to make the most of their time in Gran Canaria. Rescued by two good soles from that dirty, grubby, smutty bin and taking up the offer made by two Special Agents; A & B in the hunt for Mr P, their story has only just begun. Follow them and their adventures on this their Blog.
